John founded Morrison Media in 2012. He specialises in media training, PR, public affairs, and crisis communication. John has a long and exemplary track record of providing top-level strategic communications and public affairs advice to some of the biggest brand names in Scotland and the UK. He works personally and closely with clients on PR strategy, public affairs, PR B2B, media training, and crisis communications.
John is recognised among his peers for his contribution to the public relations industry, who elected him as the Scotland representative on the Public Affairs Board for the PRCA.
John has won awards for crisis communication and public affairs.
Before setting up Morrison Media, John was one of the most recognisable faces on BBC News for more than 20 years. A highly experienced and award-winning journalist, he covered news and politics across Scotland, the UK, and the European Union.
Elaine is an award-winning, accredited PR communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
She specialises in media relations, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement and has worked for many different clients across private, public, and third sectors, including the Port of Cromarty Firth, The Prince’s Trust, Erskine Care, CGI, the Scottish Government, and multiple local authorities in Scotland.
Elaine has worked with John Morrison and the Morrison Media PR team for six years providing a comprehensive and highly successful mix of PR B2B, media relations, and crisis communications support for a range of clients.
Stan has over 25 years’ experience in journalism and public relations, most recently as Highland Business Editor of The Press and Journal. Stan enjoys unrivalled contacts in the north of Scotland, both in business and political circles.
An award-winning journalist, Stan’s career has taken him both north and south of the border. Before an initial spell in Public Relations, he worked as a news editor in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
Stan also worked at the Derby Evening Telegraph, and with North News and Pictures Press Agency, as well as on the Scotland desks of the Sunday Times, the Daily Mail and the Daily Express.
His previous Public Relations experience accounts for over a decade, and includes working as an Account Director with a large agency in Inverness and Aberdeen.
He was also previously communications manager with the Global Energy Group and has worked in various senior communications and Public Affairs roles with Highlands and Islands Enterprise and in a PR consultancy capacity.
Stan’s has experience in devising and delivering communications strategies for companies operating across a wide range of sectors, including extensive experience in the energy and renewables industry.
Philip is an accredited communications professional, who has more than 25 years of PR and media experience.
He was deputy editor of insider.co.uk – the web arm of business magazine Scottish Business Insider – which he helped launch in 2017.
Philip specialises in B2B media relations and works with many different clients across the private sector, including HRM Homecare, the Port of Cromarty Firth, CGI and Bellrock Technology.
Philip is an Accredited Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Victoria is a former editor of Press Association Scotland with 25 years industry experience.
She led the team at PA Media for more than 10 years and was responsible for developing its successful multi-media team.
She has previously worked as a reporter for titles including the Daily Record, Sunday Mail, The Herald and as a digital production journalist at the Big Issue.
Craig is a former award-winning journalist with an excellent knowledge of the digital media landscape.
He held the position of Sports Editor at the Paisley Daily Express, and his writing has also featured regularly in the Daily Record, Sunday Mail, Scottish Sun and Glasgow Times both online and in print.
His work with Paisley Daily Express was recognised with a commendation in the coveted Jim Rodger Memorial Award.
Eachainn graduated from the University of Stirling in 2020 with a first class honours degree in journalism.
Before joining Morrison Media, he worked as a Communications Officer for Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. His writing has also featured regularly in the Stornoway Gazette.
A keen footballer, Eachainn has played for teams in both the Highland League and the Lowland League in recent years.
Stephen is an established and well-respected brand development, marketing and commercial leader with over 25 years’ strategic brand and marketing experience, 20 of which were spent leading Scotland’s most exciting brand, marketing and creative consultancies.
Stephen has helped create, build and realise significant value for brand owners across the public sector, FMCG, retail, media, financial services, professional services, sport, higher education, leisure and luxury brands.
Strategic, analytical and collaborative in approach, tactical, disciplined and commercial in execution, he creates, enables and inspires industry leading teams, brands and campaigns.
Morrison Media has been working with the Port of Cromarty Firth for more than seven years. We initially appointed them to help with a rebranding project, to open up the Port and update its image from that of traditional ‘authority to a modern Trust Port. This included improving the Port’s image with its many stakeholders.
