Annemarie O’Donnell, the former Chief Executive of Glasgow City Council, has joined award-winning PR and public affairs agency Morrison Media.
Annemarie has agreed to become Senior Associate at the Glasgow-based firm. Her appointment comes eight months after she stepped down from the council last May following 10 years as Chief Executive, and more than three decades of service in local government transforming the physical, social and economic infrastructure of Scotland’s largest city and the Glasgow City Region.
She will work alongside Managing Director John Morrison and his team to provide expert guidance and strategic advice to Morrison Media’s high-level clients.
Annemarie said: “I am grateful for this new opportunity to bring my many years of experience in local government to my new role as Senior Associate at Morrison Media.
“I hope that I can play a part in providing valuable insights to clients as we navigate a period of considerable change and challenges across both the public and private sectors in Scotland, so they position themselves for the future.”
John Morrison said: “I am delighted that Annemarie O’Donnell has joined Morrison Media as Senior Associate.
“As Chief Executive of Glasgow City Council, she was renowned for her professionalism, problem-solving and partnership capabilities, as well as a strong dedication to the city of Glasgow and its citizens. Both our team and our clients will benefit hugely from her wealth of experience.”
